Cheesecake #7: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake

No picture :( BUT I will describe it!
Close your eyes, well don't cause you won't see this. But imagine- A slice of cheesecake with chunks of chocolate chip cookie dough mixed in. Now, top it with walnuts and whipped cream with chocolate chips.
Sounds delicious right?
For the first time since starting our Cheesecake Friday tradition, Evan and I said, "Hm, I've had better." While it was by no means bad, or gross (it is cheesecake factory after all) it was not the best on the menu. Cookie Dough plus cheesecake is just one example of too much of a good thing (Meanwhile, Evan is repeatedly beating an obnoxiously large bug that had the nerve to land next to me and not die).

An Evanism

"Biggest mistake in academy history." Referring to the fact that Robert DeNiro did not win best actor for The Awakenings.

I am also supposed to remember that on March 2, 2010, he gave me permission to pull the plug if he is ever near brain dead. Grey areas are not worth the wait for him. This was all inspired by The Awakenings, which was a great movie, so go out and watch it if you get the chance.

Time is flying away!

We are at 87 (well, 86, today is pretty much done for) days left until the wedding and we have gotten a lot done, but it is never enough! At least we have the big stuff done. Well, except for my dress. I have plans to go do that soon though. With my mom. I'm taking Evan home to meet my parents (eek! and Hooray!) and other important people. We are very excited for the trip, but I am worried it will go by too quickly and then I will be back in Richmond and the wedding will be be happening!

Either way, I am anxious to have everyone meet my Evan and see everything I love about him. I am also for him to see where I come from and meet my important people. Looking forward to the trip!!

Cheesecake Friday

The night of our engagement, Evan and I started a new, and tasty, tradition. One slice of cheesecake each week and two forks. It fits well into our date budget, and gives something sure to look forward to. So far, we have sampled five flavors. There are a total of 40 desserts on the menu, so we estimate being done sometime around mid October, which will put us right in time for the seasonal pumpkin cheesecakes.

Here is a recap of what we have sampled so far:

#1: Adam's Peanut Butter Cup Fudge Ripple (1/23, the night of our engagement)

-Evan loved this one. I didn't try it, so we may need to get a sample at the end of the list when we go back around again!

#2: Chocolate Tuxedo Cream Cheesecake (1/23, also the night of our engagement)

- It was delicious. A great blend of chocolate and plain cheesecake.

#3: Stefanie's Ultimate Red Velvet Cake Cheesecake (1/29)

- Red velvet cake? Delicious. Cheesecake? Delicious. Now imagine the two layered together to create red velvet cheesecake perfection.

#4: Chocolate Coconut Cream Cheesecake (2/12, we missed the week before because of the weather)
- This was truly a wonderful cheesecake. The coconut wasn't too strong and the chocolate didn't overpower the other flavors.

#5: Snickers Bar Chunks and Cheesecake (2/19)
- Ok, cheesecake + snickers = a super idea

#6: White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle (2/26)

- I only had a few bites of this one. We put Abby in charge of bringing cheesecake and she got lost on her way (we missed you for dinner Abby!). She kindly saved us some of the cheesecake though so we got to taste test it. Of what I had, I would order it again. This is another one we may put back on the list in the end.

Ok 6 down and 34 to go!! I will try to update more often and give more details and pictures for everyone!

We are engaged!

As of January 23rd, 2010, Evan and I are engaged. We have been busily planing things for our upcoming wedding, and are keeping busy with school and work as well! In 95 days, it will be over and we will have time to slow down. Until then, things are going fast so hopefully we can give everyone a way to keep up with us!
