Cheesecake Friday

The night of our engagement, Evan and I started a new, and tasty, tradition. One slice of cheesecake each week and two forks. It fits well into our date budget, and gives something sure to look forward to. So far, we have sampled five flavors. There are a total of 40 desserts on the menu, so we estimate being done sometime around mid October, which will put us right in time for the seasonal pumpkin cheesecakes.

Here is a recap of what we have sampled so far:

#1: Adam's Peanut Butter Cup Fudge Ripple (1/23, the night of our engagement)

-Evan loved this one. I didn't try it, so we may need to get a sample at the end of the list when we go back around again!

#2: Chocolate Tuxedo Cream Cheesecake (1/23, also the night of our engagement)

- It was delicious. A great blend of chocolate and plain cheesecake.

#3: Stefanie's Ultimate Red Velvet Cake Cheesecake (1/29)

- Red velvet cake? Delicious. Cheesecake? Delicious. Now imagine the two layered together to create red velvet cheesecake perfection.

#4: Chocolate Coconut Cream Cheesecake (2/12, we missed the week before because of the weather)
- This was truly a wonderful cheesecake. The coconut wasn't too strong and the chocolate didn't overpower the other flavors.

#5: Snickers Bar Chunks and Cheesecake (2/19)
- Ok, cheesecake + snickers = a super idea

#6: White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle (2/26)

- I only had a few bites of this one. We put Abby in charge of bringing cheesecake and she got lost on her way (we missed you for dinner Abby!). She kindly saved us some of the cheesecake though so we got to taste test it. Of what I had, I would order it again. This is another one we may put back on the list in the end.

Ok 6 down and 34 to go!! I will try to update more often and give more details and pictures for everyone!

We are engaged!

As of January 23rd, 2010, Evan and I are engaged. We have been busily planing things for our upcoming wedding, and are keeping busy with school and work as well! In 95 days, it will be over and we will have time to slow down. Until then, things are going fast so hopefully we can give everyone a way to keep up with us!
